What Is Soda Blasting?
Soda Blasting is a process similar to sand blasting, but uses a baking soda-based media instead of sand. Soda Blasting is ideal for car paint stripping and marine cleaning. Soda Blasting can strip almost any surface in a safe and efficient manner. Soda Blasting has the advantage of cleaning the surface without causing harm to the underlying surface or the environment. Soda Blasting easily removes carbon, grease, oils, gasket material, surface corrosion, rust, paint and coatings without substrate damage or distortion. Soda Blasting leaves hard anodized coatings intact. Soda Blasting is safe on glass, chrome, rubber and hydraulic lines - so masking off those areas is unnecessary.
In the past, the only way you could
remove paint, rust, grease or some other unattractive material from a
contaminated surface, was to chip it off, sand it, use harsh chemicals or sand
blast it. Today, we have Soda Blasting.
Soda Blasting is the latest, environmentally-friendly technology to safely strip paint and/or clean nearly any surface. The soda blasting machine uses compressed air or water to deliver a baking soda-based media onto the surface to be cleaned. This process gently removes the material without harming the substrate and can be done wet or dry. Virtually any coating can be removed from most any surface.
Soda Blast media is FDA approved, non-toxic, and contains no free silica; it is non-sparking, non-flammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally safe. Clean up is easy to with just a simple rinse with a garden hose.
